Who we are

Physical therapies and rehabilitation for animals in Australia exist within a relatively unregulated market. Our point of difference lies in the education which our physiotherapist has received; Serryn is university qualified to treat both humans and animals and has an extensive knowledge background which underpins her assessment and treatment.

We value this point of difference as it allows us to provide expert care that works collaboratively alongside veterinary care for all animals, regardless of condition or life stage.

Our aim is to enhance the quality of life, performance and longevity of our beloved animals. Contact us today to find out more about how we can help your animals feel and perform their best.

What we stand for

  • To provide high quality animal physiotherapy assessment and treatment to all animals living in North East Victoria to enhance the quality of life, performance and longevity of our beloved animals.

  • Our vision is to provide the highest standard of physiotherapy intervention for animals at all stages of the lifespan. Whether this means keeping your animal performing at their peak, or ensuring your best friend is comfortable into old age, North East Animal physiotherapy will work with you and your animal to ensure they are physically feeling and functioning at their best. We want to help shape a world where ethical animal care is at the forefront of all owners’ minds and assist you in ensuring that your animal receives the best care relative to their circumstances.

  • Our mission is to work collaboratively with veterinarians and owners to ensure all pet and performance animals receive gold standard care. This includes physiotherapy to enhance performance, rehabilitate from surgery or injury and to help manage the course of disease, illness or aging. As a university qualified human and animal physiotherapist Serryn has extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics and pathology. This allows her to expertly assess your animal and develop a treatment plan that best suits the needs and goals of both you and your animal. Through hands on therapy and individually designed exercise and management programs Serryn will work to improve the strength and control of each animal to improve function and decrease pain.

  • Respect: respect and integrity are key in healthcare in order to ensure the most successful outcomes through engaging owners in the care of their animals.

Empathy: we pride ourselves on being able to provide caring and compassionate services.

Collaborative practice: best patient outcomes are achieved when the entire care team, including veterinarians, physiotherapists, owners and other professionals work together with the same outcome in mind. Effective communication within the care team is key to this.

Quality: evidence-based practice underlies animal physiotherapy treatment and therefore ensures quality of care and best outcomes.
