Animal Physiotherapy

All our animal physiotherapy sessions start with a full physiotherapy assessment. This includes observation of posture, gait and functional tasks, as well as hands on assessment including palpation and active and passive joint range of motion. Where relevant this also includes equine ridden assessment and sport specific canine assessment.

Treatment is then tailored based on our assessment findings to give each animal the best physiotherapy outcome possible. We utilise a range of therapies, including soft tissue massage, joint mobilisation, laser therapy, reflexive movements and therapeutic exercise. Exercises include strengthening, range of motion and coordination exercises.

We’ll then advise you on how you can best support your animal between sessions. This might include teaching massage or stretching techniques, completing exercises with your animal or adding in some sport-specific rehabilitation to complete during your normal training sessions.

We pride ourselves on working with your animal as an individual to prioritise their physical, mental and emotional comfort throughout the entire session.
